I had to travel down to Nottingham on business yesterday which involved me going into the new poker room Dusk Till Dawn for the very first time. All I can say is WOW….WOW….WOW! That place is amazing and they have done a fantastic job, never having been to LV, it is certainly the largest cardoom that I have been in by some way. With around 60 tables, bar facilities and an area where players can play online, the entire place was fantastic and hats off to the people who made it happen.
Nottingham seems a strange place to host the Norwegian Poker Championships but who cares. It is also very easy to get to being only a few miles from the M1 and major roads all the way. But the sight of that spacious cardroom, the ability of the dealers and watching the final table of one of the tournaments really gave me the urge to start playing live poker again. This is how it should be, not arguing the toss about split pots and amateur dealers who let the game get dragged down to around 20 hands an hour. I think that it is only a matter of time before DTD hosts something really big.
Well my poker book "Winning Cash Game Poker" is finally finished and is about 70,000 words in length and to be honest, I am rather proud of it. It is always nice to complete a project of that magnitude. As of today, I have also just started writing for yet another poker magazine in Poker News. This is now the fifth magazine that I have written for but I do enjoy writing so much.
Well, its only a month to Project Pokerquest and the preparations will be under way soon enough and is something else that I am looking forward to. I am still looking for a couple of people to make up the team so if you fancy your chances then get in touch….remember that you dont have to be a great player to get on board….just really committed.
Anyway take care and see you all soon
