Book me in for that

Just like to explain to readers about my new forthcoming poker book. It will primarily be about cash games and will be my overall approach to the game and also will include many of my methods.

I am debating whether or not to write a certain chapter called "how to earn full time money playing part time hours". This would reveal an awful lot about my methods and especially when I play online although there hasn’t been too much of that lately.

I have heard other authors state in the past how they had reservations about writing certain books and certain chapters and I always took it with a pinch of salt. It is easy to write stuff for egotistical reasons. It is as if you are saying tot he poker world…."look what I knew that you didn’t ". Thing is….now everyone knows it and that thing that you knew and have now told everyone could and probably will hurt your bottom line at the tables.

Well unfortunately for me, I do have something of an ego when it comes to gambling. Maybe I am being harsh on myself and maybe it is just confidence based on being successful…who knows. I will give you details of the title when I have confirmed this with my publisher but it will include my methods and live sessions played online, in private cash games and in cardrooms.

I think that this book will prove to be a very good book and will finally get me a book out there after my long delayed "Secrets of Professional Limit Hold’em" although my game has changed alot since I read that book and six handed games have increased and I dont play full ring anymore when I play limit. In fact the games on Pokerheaven suit my style even more because they are five handed.

Poker and gambling writing is becoming more and more of a passion for me now. It is just so nice to have so many people come to you and thank you for producing articles that have helped to change not just how they play poker but also in some cases their attitude to life itself. Coaching also gives me the same pleasure, there is something very gratifying in my mind in passing on knowledge that others do not have and teaching them and watching them grow as players.

THE DEANS POKER TIP OF THE DAY

Poker is becoming a very difficult not to crack for novices for numerous reasons. But if only more players could concentrate and work harder at the tables then they would do far better and make better decisions and their chances of success would improve dramatically.

Watching your opponents both in how they behave and how they play their hands is a crucial part of the game and something that you must persue once your game gets to a decent technical level. Too many players these days can play good solid technical poker that other factors assume even greater importance in order to beat the game. Factors like always being fresh and alert when you play, getting good rakeback and sign up bonuses, playing on good games etc etc…it really is the difference between success and failure.
