A little dilemma

Firstly, just like to say a big well done to Joe Beevers of the Hendon Mob for winning the grand final of the Great Britain Poker Tour in Bristol in the early hours of this morning.

He beat Rob Akery into second place with fellow mobster Barney Boatman coming third. Well done also to Neil "bad beat" Channing who also made the final table.

Right……so whats the dilemma? Well anyone who is a regular reader of my blog will be aware that sometime ago, a business aquaintance of mine offerered to bankroll me to play in the bigger limit games on the site where he plays with me playing on his account.

To be honest I thought that the whole matter had been let go as I have not heard from him but he contacted me over the weekend and offered to bankroll me to the tune of £100,000 which at the current dollar rate is not far short of a quarter of a million dollars!!!

He has just raised the money by selling his successful business and is now looking to venture into new pastures. I have had backers before but I have never had one who was willing to bankroll me for such a large sum before. It is something that needs a lot of thinking about and certainly cannot be rushed into.

I need to know if I will earn at least as much from his bankroll as I would playing from my own although playing poker without risk to ones own personal bankroll seems appealing to say the least. I am meeting him for a proper chat tonight and will be spending a few hours travelling on the motorways 

I will fill you in on what happens by the end of the week…..if I have made my mind up by then that is.
