Slightly ashamed
Well this morning, I feel slightly ashamed to make this report regarding the $1000 a month challenge. I not only lost a total of $27.75 last night but I also tilted. Not mega gut wrenching tilt but minor “head not in the game slightly annoyed tilt”.
I mean come on…….I am sitting there with around forty bloody dollars on the table. I guess that what it does mean is that I am more eager to make this work than what I thought. To get to the crux of it, I had a difficult session last night and the bad luck affected me. Probably cost me around 0.5-1.0 buy in although in terms of EV then it was probably around 0.5.
But the bad luck continued but I am still ahead on the month a total of $97.39 which is crazy really because at this time then the system is still in the balance and potentially working. I am getting a little tired of getting my money in with the best hand and getting beat which is happening too much for my liking but have been through many runs in my poker career far worse than this.
But there is always a possibility that the system could either not work at these levels or doesnt work enough to make it viable to do it. I have calculated my rakeback for next month and it looks to be higher than this month and could come in at around $90. I think that this is a result of me attacking the blinds more. But I am just under ten buy-ins ahead so its not all bad.
Last night I actually got bored doing it which I think added to the tilt problem but I will need to keep on the top side of this because one bad or indifferent month wont prove whether this is working or not. I owe it the millions out there who could benefit from this to keep my head in the game because you do have to play a little poker at times.
See you soon
