Getting into this

Well I have just reached the second anniversary of my blog and it has been a good two years on the whole. Being asked to write highstakes theory for Sklansky and Malmuths 2+2 site was a big honour. But also was my invites onto the Stox Poker and Poker Swat coaching sites, offers that I had to both sadly turn down.

But this $1000 a month challenge is on the boil now and for anyone who doesnt know, I am attempting to try and prove that you can make $1000 a month short stacking the 50NL games. So far with rakeback I am ahead by $116.24 this month but it has been a real trial and error.

In fact I had better point out that I hadnt got this system down yet and am basically winging it as I go. But I am away from my main PC so I am only four tabling on my laptop to begin with and playing 40 hours a month. But imagine a situation where I could say earn $10 an hour with rakeback, although this wouldnt make $1000 a month, it would PROVE that it can be done.

Double the number of tables and start playing 100 hours a month and you could be looking at $1500 a month. Then how about moving upto NL100???? One buy-in is $10 so 50 buy-ins would be ample. This means that you could only need a bankroll of $250 when you take into account the 100% sign up bonus on Cake Poker.

In fact 20 buy-ins could even suffice and imagine buying into a poker site for about fifty quid and seeing that earn you over a thousand bucks a month…..not bad.

But I am still tweaking it and messing with it and especially my ranges to do certain things from certain positions. Last night I dipped two buy-ins but lost a $40 pot with pocket kings when I got rivered and so often as it is in poker, your entire result hinges on one or two big hands. But $116.24 ahead so far is not bad and especially as I think that I am starting to home in on what is a correct range to raise with from position and how far to go with hands post flop against these players. I am expecting next month to be better than this one…..fingers crossed.
