A Look into the Crystal Ball….Perhaps!

Oh dear…oh dear….oh dear, bad news on the 100K challenge front and we ain’t even started yet. I stuck a few hundred dollars in and decided to have a couple of practice runs at low limit to try and get some feel for the games.

I am convinced that straight forward solid poker will work in these games and there are plenty of fish in the sea. They certainly are prepared to get all in too often which is great for me. Well I started off great and was up nearly $200 but then you know what happened, that’s right…..I started messing around and getting fancy.

Well the end result was a $174 loss which is no big deal in itself but I lost it messing around. Please dont tell me that I can only get motivated for the $10-$20 and $25-$50 NL because if that is the case then I can kiss goodbye to my $3500 right here and now.

Maybe I would have been better off trying to turn $20,000 into $250,000 or something of that nature but I wanted to do this so that all players of whatever levels could see that it was possible. Well it certainly is possible because I know people who have done it….but yours truly .

Well the start date is the 1st of October although I dont know when I will be playing as I have to fit this around my other committments. But I seriously need to pull my finger out otherwise I am going to make three people very happy.

Still, not all bad news as I had a couple of decent sessions in $3-$6 and $5-$10 PLO, I am really starting to find my feet in this game and I am actually beginning to enjoy it more than hold’em although the variance is a lot greater.
