A big thankyou
Just like to say thankyou for all of the people who have contacted me about being a part of PROJECT POKERQUEST. I have not had the time to reply to everyone but you have all been considered. I have also had a few people from The Hendon Mob site which has been great also. But my first PP team will be limited to 10 members simply because I dont have the time to take on any more. But the good news is that once I get my current projects out of the way then I will have loads of extra free time that I didnt have before.
So I will be expanding PP in the future which means the second half of this year and I will run this alongside my bankroll challenge on Pokerheaven. This will mean that I will be playing a lot more poker and this is something that I have missed over the past few weeks and I havent played any highstakes stuff for almost three months but it has still been enjoyable.
But I want to expand PP into having teams competing against each other almost like in "The Apprentice" but I also want to start awarding prizes for people who do the best on each team and this means awarding money. I have hatched up the idea to award performance bonuses and all I have to do now is think of an appropriate amount.
But I have been thinking about this and I definitely want to make PP an ongoing thing and the more that I think about it, the more excited I become. I lose touch with a lot of my students, all of them have my personal e-mail address but few actually take the time to contact me to ask things. At least this way, I will be in constant touch with all team members and can monitor them weekly and in some cases daily.
It is true that online poker can get boring and in terms of actual man hours put in, there have not been many people out there who have played more hours online than me. I started full time in 2002 but started playing online in 2000 but by the end of 2002 and into 2003 I was putting 50 hours a week in on average……scary.
All that has changed now, I simply dont want to do that anymore and I need my challenges to be fresh and stimulating and this is why I decided to do this. I have been craving to do this for ages and this was the idea behind the 100k challenge last year but I started that at totally the wrong time and when I knew that this book was going to happen….well….something had to give.
Anyway….have a good weekend
