The early days of playing The Hawk are seeming to fit me like a glove. It has obviously been my personality that has impacted on how successful the Vulture has been. This system should have done a lot better than it did and ended up at abut $20/hour when 4 tabling. But The Hawk has been unlucky so far and its running at $29/hour after the first week.
It is a more aggressive system but it will also incur more variance….the nature of winning more money. I know that I touted The Vulture as a low variance system and it is, but in order to achieve that low variance then you must be prepared to grind and I am not a grinder. Its why I stopped playing full-ring limit a few years ago.
Also to lower variance means to lower profit as there are clear risk/reward ratios here. But The Hawk fits my personality profile far better and I find that so far I have not been getting bored while playing it. I already have The Vulture in place and all I need now is an avenue to promote this through. I am hoping that this will happen either August/September but I will be working in conjunction with a poker site.
So all is well with The Hawk after its first week and I am looking forward to testing this properly starting August 1st.
