Yeah thats right….the sun is shining and its been the nicest day for ages and here I am writing this blog and putting in the odd session……talk about sad. On top of that I have even lost money so that just makes it worse.
Lost a couple of sessions playing heads up as I ran into hands both times and lost about $500. One thing is for sure though and that is that playing 100 hours with the Vulture month in and month out is asking too much. I have been looking at my schedule lately and the planning stages for The Vulture, The Jackal and my double or nothing system is going to take some considerable work.
I havent decided on a name for the DON system as yet but that will come over the next few months I am sure of that. Its amazing how my poker has morphed into something else entirely. Starting out playing nothing but limit back in 2002 and now I am playing as many hours in a month as I used to play in a week back then.
But I am enjoying my work with Cake Poker immensely and it makes me proud to be an ambassador for one of the largest most forward moving networks in the world. I started out playing poker and then moved into writing and coaching a few years ago to try and get some balance into my work.
I think that I have eventually found that but now I am starting to miss doing things that I used to do like sports betting and playing blackjack for instance. I even asked a friend the other day if he ever scouted the BJ games while playing poker in europe. But how the hell I am going to find time for all this is a mystery. May have to put this on my list of things on the back burner.
Anyway, I am off to spend some time in the garden so take care.
