Roulette Cheating

As my attempt to expand this blog will start moving into other areas, I feel that this deserves a little explanation. I just dont feel that a poker blog is sufficient these days and especially as many of the people that come to my blog are from other sites who are gambling related but are not about poker.

So I will be discussing and talking about all forms of gambling that I have experience in and after over 20 years in this industry, that is sadly too many for my liking :-(

Here I want to discuss Casino Roulette and the subject of cheating at this form of gambling. Before I move on, I need to point out that this isnt anything to do with casinos cheating but the players themselves. Cheats flock to this game like moths to a light for the simply reasons being, the tables are large, many areas of the layout are a few feet away from the dealer and as much as 9-10 feet from the inspector.

The games are busy, there are numerous blind spots that can be created even though casinos have CCTV.

In my book Killer Roulette I discussed all sorts of methods including biased wheel play and staff collusion with punters. I was approached numerous times by certain punters (usually out of work time once they found out where we hung out) who then proposed all sorts of dodgy things.

I knew staff who actually worked with punters and if the casinos had treated their staff well and fairly then I just may have given a damn. The entire way that roulette is dealt and supervised in the UK lends itself to cheating moves. The pay-offs of 35-1 are its achilles heel and not its strength.

Over the coming weeks and months I will be talking about every part of gambling that I have even been involved in. This will include blackjack, poker, sports betting and all of the under the counter dodgy things that I have been approached by (it is inevitable that people in my situation get hit on).

My books Princes of Darkness : The World of Highstakes Blackjack and Killer Roulette basically scratched the surface. So I am hoping that my blog is going to be a damn site more interesting now than it has in the past with me no longer just talking about poker and ranting about the people ranting at me and me telling The Poker Show to get stuffed :-)
