It is never a bad idea to develop a plan…..a long term strategic plan when you play poker. This prevents you from having to look at results in a vacuum and also playing individual hands as well. It is these two things that contrive to beat bad players. They only see short term…..they only see how the hand has played out now……they only see this session…..if they win……they are Doyle Brunson and if they lose then they fall apart and tilt.
Having a poker plan will assist you in so many ways but if you build your own plan…..do one tiny thing. Do not try and depend on tactical issues for your success. By this I mean the hand to hand play. Tactical awareness is all too easily replicated now. You will need to incorporate other non poker playing issues into your strategy.
