Had a fairly good session last night in the 25-50 game, was down about 1.5 buy-ins and made a great come back after almost jacking it in for the night. I ended up in front by $3250. I have also been playing some more this week and I decided to keep that quiet. I havent been playing well and didnt want to report this but I felt that I had to. Anyway I played indifferently and got lucky and won over $7000. This puts me up by nearly $30k for the year but as you all know, only 25% of that is mine.
But my poker office software has indicated that I have run somewhat badly and that I am behind expectation as my EV is about the 43k mark. I find this surprising because I dont think that I have played particularly well but that just indicates what a perfectionist I am.
Anyway, all has been going well on the playing front which kind of makes me ashamed when I whinge about it when it goes badly. But I have been thinking this week about restarting my coaching activities.
I cannot believe how much I am actually missing this so starting from the 1st March, I will be open to coach people again so if anyone would appreciate me analysing their game then feel free to contact me at Carl@Pokerquest.f9.co.uk and we can discuss it further. In fact I will be placing a link under every post from now on stating that fact.
Someone on the Hendon Mob forum said that they had bluffed a hand with 3-2 and been called by someone with eight high who took the pot. Something similar happened to me about two weeks ago and it does really spook you when that happens. But like I said in the reply, just try to think that it was a misclick or a misread which in all likelihood it probably is…..at least this keeps you sane.
