As of the 1st August, I will no longer be working with Cake Poker. This is something that benefits us both and was a mutual decision. This allows me far more flexibility for me to do certain things. So what is happening with The Vulture? Well I aim to try it on another site and this means one thing……that I can use Poker Office 5 as well and this may be the kickstart that I have been searching for with regards re-igniting my interest.
This month has been something of a washout to be quite frank, I am about level after 20 hours but the play has been dreadful. There is obviously a lot more personal touches with this system than I gave it credit for and I have self destructed more times than I can care to remember over the past four weeks. In fact I dont think that the system has made money over the past three weeks…..rephrase that……I HAVENT MADE MONEY……it has nothing to do with The Vulture.
But this underlines the fragility of getting poker education from anywhere, it isnt the quality of the information as always, its what you do with it. This may be why I am being successful playing heads up, it means that I can be myself, very aggressive, bullying, wanting to get chips in the middle. All I need is an opponent who is passive enough to back down to that for a few hands and I make my money.
I was going back through my records this year and I have made a nice $17,316 playing heads up at NL200 through NL1000. The hourly rate from that is great as well as I have only played a total of 117 hours for $148/hour.
But…..I want to make The Vulture successful God DAMN IT!!!!!!!! It already is successful…..I want it to make $50/hour……I can do it…..I just need to keep the enemy at bay……the one that I see in the mirror looking back at me everyday. Sometimes I think that poker just isnt my game and everythings a struggle. This is what gets me about the game……everything seems too much trouble and I get sick of struggling at times.
