The next rung on the ladder

Well I did not tell you this earlier because I forgot but my last session in the 100K Challenge was not at my usual 0.50-1 level but at 1-2. I sat at three tables of 1-2 with $200 per table.

I said at the outset that I would wait until I got to $2000 before I did this but I bent the rules a little bit. Well the upshot of it all is that I won $298 playing $1-$2 and this now takes me just over two grand with a bankroll of $2002!!!

The only problem is that I am now playing as much as 20 hours a week on this challenge and this is more than what I have intended to play as I also need time to play in my regular games as well as write, teach and do all of the various other activities that poker involves.

To do all that on a computer is really not much fun and I used to play 60 hours a week online 4 years ago and promised myself that I would not ever do that again. Well I am creeping back up towards 40 hours a week again so I might have to have a rethink.

The PLO could have been better but I still have plenty to learn with regards that game. I almost sat in a 25-50 last night but someone beat me too it and the guy who I was after left before I could get on the table. But things are definitely looking up again despite the PLO as the 10-20 game has been good to me so far this month.

Dont forget to keep your eyes open for my second 100K Challenge which I plan to run alongside my first one in the new year and if I manage this then this would probably take up my entire weekly allowance for playing poker….oh well.

See ya soon
