Well after much deliberation and soul searching, I have called time on the 100k challenge. The hours that I am committing both now and in the future will probably get less and less. I have not played at all since the last post despite promising that I would so the FINAL BANKROLL IS : $11,898
Actually it will be more than this because the next rakeback payment will be kicking in soon so it will end at around twelve and a half grand or so. Things have changed since the 1st October when I started and now this new sponsorship deal will demand more of my time than I thought so something has to give. Plus I am now spending more time promoting Pokersharkpool and there is only so much time in a day.
I have been struggling with motivation anyway and so the bottom line is that I have FAILED to turn $1000 into $100,000 in 12 months. Although it is a bit like a batsman being called back to the pavillion after scoring 20 runs after his team has declared…..he might have gone on to reach a century who knows.
To be quite frank…it has become tedious and tiresome. So I turned $1000 not into $100,000 but into around $12,500 (when the rakeback goes on) in 4 months. At the exchange rate that is just under £6000…..boy am I glad to have off loaded those prop bets at Christmas.
I really dont know how much poker I will be playing over the next three months but I will be duty bound to play all my online poker on Pokerheaven. I know that I could come back to the 100k at a later date but to be honest I dont really want to as I have not enjoyed multi-tabling at the low stakes games and even playing 20 hours a week has been a real bind.
So I am sorry for all those people who have been tracking my progress, but I will be doing things differently with the blog and including more news and tutorial material and less about me for a change.
I would also like to take this opportunity to introduce Barry Carter to our site who will be putting blogs on here very soon.
see ya soon
