Into five figures

Well it has took almost four months of slog but I am finally into five figures with the 100k challenge. I have won $818 since the last lost and that puts the total bankroll at $10,709!!

Boy does that feel good today. Although I have been consulting with a very successful 2-4 and 3-6 multi-tabler this week who has advised me that I can do this challenge without having to mover beyond 3-6. He tells me that £1000 a week is well achievable and that is $2000 a week and $100,000 a year.

So whats the snag, the snag is that he plays between 4 and 8 tables and I have only been playing 3. In fact I have only played 4 tables a few times in my life and that was at limit. By his calculations, with rakeback I should be on or around the $30,000 mark by now.

This puts my 10k into comparison and makes it look puny. I have obviously been under performing when compared to him. So I have two options, play more tables or move up to 5-10. I dont like the thought of playing more tables but what I am going to do is experiment with playing an extra table and move up to 3-6 until the end of the month when I intend on stopping for a while anyway due to my sponsorship deal with Poker Heaven.

Also I am going to allow other players to place regular blogs and is something that I have been considering now for some time. I do not want this site to be just about me and my views and opinions and would like to get some extra people involved who would be interested in writing a regular blog of their poker playing activities…..only strong players fit the bill I’m afraid as I want the quality to be of a standard that will help and assist the readers.

see ya next week
