How many times have I said on this blog that I am no longer going to play The Vulture???…….too many. I am obviously getting bored of the damn thing. I lost $80 yesterady……or more to the point……chucked it away. I just cannot get it into my head that I am working for more than $20 an hour with this thing.
Actually yesterdays session set me thinking about a personality trait of mine and I was doing some research on this last night. I am getting particularly worried about my own boredom threshhold levels. I took a test yesterday that came out very badly. I seem to be getting bored far faster these days with many different things.
I find that I cannot read a book for thirty minutes without having to put it down and do something else. Watching a film is a problem, I have switched off after less than an hour in two of the past three films that I have watched despite enjoying them. Apparently this is a sign of depression when you lose focus in this way although I sure as hell dont feel depressed.
But I am eating more and more in what are obviously attempts to find a quick fix solution to boredom. This is obviously causing me problems with The Vulture and it now seems that 60 minute sessions are too much and even 45 may be stretching it. The hit and run heads up sessions seem to be suiting me but as for ring games, I am now going to try and compress my sessions down to 30 minutes and only prolong this if I feel good and probably even then I will stop.
I realise now that I have a very serious problem that will impact on me playing long poker sessions and certainly online. I have had a few things explained to me over the past 24 hours which should hopefully make me a better poker player but this also means that me playing full-time online like I used to may be a thing of the past…… although when thinking about this…….who the hell needs to be sat in front of a computer all day anyway……I know that I certainly dont……..see you soon and take care.
