Its not often that I play three different types of poker on the same day but I did yesterday and won them all. Well this sounds more dramatic than what it actually was and they were all at NLHE…..but hey….come on…can you blame me for adding a little drama to my blog.
Yes you guessed it……I played another session with The Vulture yesterday and won $14. Its been a mediocre month so far with this and I am only $378 ahead after 25 actual playing hours. But the indiscipline has troubled me this month but I think that I may have found a way to combat that.
Its not something that needs to be added to the system but it is something that I need to do personally. But starting next month I am going to devote 40 hours a month to actually playing The Vulture on a regular basis and this will hopefully make a good springboard into my new blog on Cake this summer.
I also played two sessions of heads up NLHE and won $371 and then I even managed a session at 25-50 where I won a further $425 in the space of 15 mins…….something else that I said that I wasnt going to play but when the games are so good then its hard to refuse. At the end of next month I will be doing my half yearly figures and its shaping up to be a decent year.
I have a fancy to play some PLO again as I havent played this in ages which is never a good thing. May start out playing something like 1-2 or 2-4 to get me back into the swing again.
I have sent for a book today from Amazon, it isnt a poker book but I think that this book will have a profound effect on my heads up philosophy at NLHE. Its potentially so potent that I am not going to reveal what it is but heads up play may just become my main game over the second half of this year. Its amazing how my preferences have gone from full-ring to six max to heads up over the years.
