Played a short and rather violent session yesterday in the Pro Poker Challenge where I dipped a full-buy in and then won it back in the space of a few hands…..that doesnt happen often. But I ended up winning $5 over 1hr 6mins but that was also boosted by my rakeback payment going in of $128 so I am $133 ahead this month already.
I have been thinking about this of late and so far I am over $2500 ahead since I started which is 50 buy-ins. So there is just no way that this thing isnt working over that number of hands.
Last night I did something that I said that I wouldnt do and that is to play the 25-50 game again……wish I hadnt as I lost 7k. But the game was just too good and I was glad but also miffed that my partner called me when I had expressly told him not to.
He had been looking at some Poker Office data the previous day and well…….to cut a long story short…..we had an angle on a couple of players who were regs. Strange thing was that they didnt exhibit the same characteristics during the session which is either somewhat odd or they are very good.
Anyway, I am going to play less in the Poker Pro Challenge this month and not more……I just dont see the point because its working and can only get better. The planning of what I want to write will take longer than what I thought and that is before we even get down to writing the damn thing. This is why I need a certain number of purchasers before I proceed and so far that number is only 23.
I originally said 20 but that wont be enough as some will drop out and this will take longer than expected. So 40-50 may be a better figure but if I dont get the interest then I will chop the idea……its either that or put the price up, but anyway……just have to wait and see how it goes.
