I know that I said that I wouldnt be playing as much NL50 now that I have finalised the system but I feel that I have to proceed with it now. Good news though, played three more short sessions since last post and had wins of $75…$6 and $22. Got my head back on track and now I am doing something slightly different although this is probably pertinent to me and me only.
Although having said that, this could also apply to anyone and will probably apply to many. I have decided to play little and often as the saying goes. I have made a decision to only play for 45 minutes maximum. This keeps me sharp throughout and focused. It is fiendishly easy to lose focus when playing online poker and this has been a problem for me playing this low.
This may also mean that 100 hours a month may be beyond me but I am hoping to take The Vulture successfully into NL100 this summer so that should make up for less hours. I am $211 ahead this month and I have also been playing less tables and only been four tabling. I really felt that something was wrong with my mindset last week (which it obviously was given how I played) so something had to be done.
Had to fit the poker around the Arsenal vs Man Utd game last night and tonight will be no different. Intend on playing a 45 minute session after the football.
But getting back to playing online, it is probably little understood just how tiring online poker can be. I think the problem is that you are constantly looking at a monitor, this is probably even more so than working in an office. So eye strain and mental strain will cause fatigue and this is probably more pronounced the more online poker you have played.
Once upon a time I used to play 60 hours a week, the thought of that makes me shudder now. I play about 60 hours a month now at the most so that is an indication how things have changed for me. But anyway, the system is back on track again or more to the point…..so am I…….see you soon.
