Played two sessions today in the Poker Pro Challenge, lost $12 in the first session but won $38 in the next. I think this puts me $935 ahead this month and just short of the big G. Actually this makes a mockery of my proposed challenge last year where I said that I would try and make $1000 a month playing low-stakes NLHE.
That figure is really easy to achieve using the Vulture. All you have to do is put the hours in. I was talking $2000-$3000 a month doing this. So far I have played 37.5 hours which isnt even a full working week. Having to do everything around the football and its on again tonight with Man Utd versus Arsenal and there is no way that I am missing that but I plan on playing after the match is over.
I have also been re-assessing what I have been doing today around the blinds, nothing major……just a little tweeking here and there.
This will be like my very own WSOP this year……actually I will find this more interesting than going to LV for a few weeks and coming back with nothing more than bad beat stories of how I nearly cashed or how close I was to a final table. Could I play a poker tournament for 12 hours a day for several days…..well I could but I sure as hell wouldnt want to….unless I knew it was going to be profitable and you cannot guarantee that.
The Vulture has seriously aroused my passion again and it takes something to make me drop the 25-50 action. But I have also devised in my head THE FOX, THE JACKAL and THE SHARK for a later date. These will be a simple process of getting my thoughts down into print after I have finished The Vulture and taking it from there.
Anyway I am off to watch the Snooker followed by the football followed by some more poker…..take care
