Had my most intense session of poker for a long long time and played nearly five hours last night of HUNLHE.
I played seven different opponents and won over $1500. For me personally then this may be the best way forward for me to take my poker this year. My ultra aggressive style is difficult to combat and I can easily transfer money from site to site so I can play anywhere at a moments notice.
My hourly rate at this form of poker has to be very good and far better than the 25-50 game overall although I have yet to check this out.
Despite me saying that I would not play the Vulture for a while, couldnt help myself. Played a session last night and broke exactly even and won $10 today but once again both sessions pushed me mentally over the edge and I was playing badly after about 30 minutes. I am only $350 ahead this month and my earn rate is falling through indiscipline.
If I let this slip now then I want shooting and I really do need a break from this. I keep telling myself that I am not in the proper frame of mind yet I still want to play. So I am going to concentrate on HUNLHE for the next two weeks and see if I cannot earn myself some decent money.
It wont be long before I come to the end of my deal with my partner regarding my bankroll/backing. To be honest I dont need him now and can scout the games on my own with Poker Office 5 and also, this may be costing me money if it stops me from playing HUNL.
I am over $50k ahead this year and I might get back what I lost last year after all if I put the time in. I think that I can pull an easy $200-$300 a night playing heads up and that means 70k-110k a year in earnings without really trying hard and also leaving me time for other things.
This may just be the best form of poker for me as it not only suits my very aggressive style (something that I have to try very hard to suppress with The Vulture) but I can make the money quickly as well. Full ring games and six max games and not to mention tournaments take up too much time and leave me little time for doing more important things.
