Had an e-mail from someone this week asking how my system basically operates, well for a start it takes advantage of many game theory principles including Nash solutions. There is a tremendous amount of game theory in poker and I noticed some time ago that many regular players almost create a kind of self imposed “Nash Equilibrium” by the way that they play.
Of course it can never be a true NE for the simple reason being that one player can simply alter their strategy to get ahead in this dynamic. But the number of players who basically play the same way at NL50 is alarming and while they are not playing advanced poker, they are doing simple things well. But it is this entire process that is weak and exploitable and a while ago I knew that these games were weak but I was undertaking to beat them in the wrong way.
I also had clear incentive problems as well through playing for such low stakes but I have corrected those flaws now by making this into something that is far bigger than merely making money in NL50. I have turned this into a crusade and my most serious project to date and I want to make as many Poker Pro’s as I possibly can over the coming months.
It has always been my passion to teach and this is exactly how I am going to do it, forget the theory books or the training sites, my system keys in exactly to what novice players need and it also elminates the mistakes that they make. This I feel is my biggest advantage, I know and feel how lowstakes players think and act and I can correct their flaws very quickly. I am going to design a system that not only makes money but works around personality flaws that leads to players losing money back that they win.
Speaking of giving money back that you have won, lost $9k last night in the 25-50. Was dragging data up from my Poker Office 5 when my computer rebooted for no reason. I wasnt in a pot but it led to me playing a pot differently than what I should have done and it cost me big time……dont know why my PC should have done that.
Intend on playing a session at NL50 tonight unless I get a call about the 25-50 game but after last night, I aint in the mood to play that big and I do need to get my hours in with the system. Anyway see ya soon.
