Played two sessions in my Poker Pro Challenge since my last post, won $32 late last night and another $34 this morning. I am ahead by $854 this month over 33 hours of actual play. I know that I keep saying this but I am really going to try and put some serious time in next month for this. I have ended up getting side tracked with too many things this month.
Still, I am more than happy with how the month has gone. The system has shown strong profits again and I have also improved the system since the 1st April. I think that next month bodes well but we will just have to wait and see. The real test will be finding the time to get this down in print.
Actually last night taught me another lesson on how to improve the system, there were plenty of tables last night and I six tabled NL50. But two of my tables had five players who either had a minium stack or had a stack of about 40BB.
My edge and the edge of the Vulture is negated by players having stacks of this size because they cannot make deep stacked errors. One might argue that these players are not deep stacked regulars, but from what I have seen of some of the regulars they aint that hot either.
I would much rather be up against a deep stacked reg than a short stacked reg. Although much of my profit comes from fold equity, I would much rather be against deeper stacks. Last night I should have table selected a little better when I clearly had the option to do so and this will be something that I will incorporate into The Vulture.
Also there will be players who will be wanting to know about tracker stats, despite the fact that I am an avid Poker Office user, there will be no part of this system that discusses tracking software stats. This is deliberate simply because of the target audience of The Vulture. For those of you who want to discuss this on an individual 1-2-1 basis then feel free to do so.
The hourly rate so far this month is around £17 per hour which is not a bad total considering that it is after tax. This equates to £35,000 a year pro rata which is equivalent to earning over 50k a year……not bad for a system with little variance.
I have also been searching online recently looking for stats that will tell me just how many players are making the game pay consistently playing online. It seems that the older figures of between 10-15% are a little off now and the recent figures are looking at somewhere between 5%-10%……its a shrinking world.
