How many times have I said that I would stop playing the Vulture, played it today and lost about $80 simply mucking about. Lost discipline and it is plain now that I am struggling to maintain focus with this thing.
I think that because I have proved that it is working, I am playing in a less than focused way. It also shows that I have intense weaknesses in my mindset when it comes to having achieved goals. Maybe I am the type of person who needs a challenge but when that has been completed then I need to do something else.
I have a constant battle with myself to motivate myself to play poker. This has always been an ongoing problem and it will likely not go away. I am simply not a grinder and playing tournaments dont suit me either because I hate the time duration of them. I am thinking about utilising yet another system starting next month and I will be working on my short stack system which I am going to call “The Dynamo”.
There are a lot of intrinsic problems with online poker, the boredom, fatigue, indiscipline, bankroll limitations, other good players, short stackers etc etc etc etc etc etc. What this means is that the vast majority of people cannot make online poker work. Many people also say that short stacking strategies dont work either but I have never been one to listen to others unless I have tried something out for myself.
So no more Vulture and I have the system in place anyway and also the Jackal. But now it is time for the Dynamo to make its appearance. Hopefully I should be able to play a very large number of tables with The Dynamo as I will not be playing multi-street poker.
