The title says it all, just played a session in the Pro Poker Challenge and lost $93…..my worst session to date. But to be honest, this session wasnt about playing my system…….I just lost my discipline and basically tilted the money away. I shouldnt have played as I barely got any sleep last night.
I was tired and agitated but I also need to get a couple of hours poker in before the end of the month that I was contracted to do. Started off me trying to run a sizeable bluff that got insta called. Then things appeared to be going well when my AA got sizeable action which put me back in front by about $15.
Then a succession of bluffs which got picked off actually niggled me and then a player who kept calling my cut-off raises from the button started niggling me too. Then I raised with J-9 and he calls again. Flop comes A-9-7 I bet and they call, turn is another 9 so I bet again and they raise me all in…..I call and they have AA.
That was it…….within seconds I had called a four bet all-in shove with JJ and was shown AA again. Two instances in a few seconds that show the fragility of multi-tabling when you are not on it mentally. I am disgusted by this as many people are hoping that I come through with this. All I can say is……sorry and it definitely wont happen again.
But this monkey is constantly on my back and I have this monster waiting to tilt at this level simply because it is so low for me. Although I have tilted at 25-50 so thats no guarantee either. This is why other players can really take this system on and do better than me once they see the mechanics of what I am doing. There is a far bigger picture than me losing a few measly bucks but in a brief moment I forget.
At times my poker can be so unbelievably bad that its untrue. It wasnt as though I had been playing long today as I was only 30 minutes into the session……anyway…..it wont happen again……for a while anyway.
