You will have noticed that it has been a couple of days since my last post, well I have been taking a break and I think that I really needed it to be honest. My life is all poker,poker,poker and you know what they say about all work and no play.
I have played no fewer than six short sharp sessions with The Vulture since my last post and won them all and now basically got back most of that stupid period where my head went a little whappy. But when you are playing for wages then you have to accept this fact. Subconsciously, I dont think that I want to work for $20 an hour which is what the earn rate is.
Actually it may nudge $25 if I stop mucking about and put the hours in and the hands so that I can make more rakeback. I also need to mentally accept that this earn is the maximum that can be squeezed using this system and there is little point in trying to squeeze something that cannot be squeezed.
Been a bad month and still short of the $400 mark with the Vulture at $395 and I have played 37 hours and that pathetic $10.67 earn rate is my own fault and nothing to do with variance. I also havent put the hands in when I have been playing and i am not going to reach the 15k hands that I played last month.
I will definitely be having a blog now on Cake Poker but that may take longer than was originally anticipated so I am sorry for those of you who have asked for the Vulture/Jackal but at least you will get to learn about this for free by reading my blog on Cake when it goes live.
I was having a conversation last week with someone that set me thinking when he said that I must be the number one theory writer in the world in terms of volume. I thought about that and if it isnt correct, I cant be far short. That is some achievement and also something that I am proud of.
Means that I dont have as much time to play poker these days but once upon a time I set out to make this my goal anyway so I can hardly complain can I…….I love it really.
