Played small stakes limit for an hour yesterday and won $100. Played three tables, 1x 1-2, 1x 2-4 and 1x 3-6. I managed to generate $27 in rake during that hour and I played far better than the previous day which was understandable. I am planning to put 100 hours a month into this for 6 months and then see what happens. I should be managing to get around $3500 a month at least in Rake of which about makes me about $1150 in rakeback.
I can then look to add more tables but this presents a problem for me because my best time to play is during the day UK time and I cannot get that much action on Cake Poker during those times. I also dont want this to get into a long drawn out saga that will take years.
This is why I am still deciding what to call the challenge. Playing 3-6 and starting with $1500 should be sufficient as that is 250 big bets and I wont always be playing 3-6 as I was playing 2-4 and even 1-2 yesterday in the 6-max games.
But $1000 is a much better figure but I could call it the £1000 a month challenge or something of that nature. I am going to have to move up to get anywhere near 100k in any reasonable time frame. So it looks like I may be using limit to launch this but I still havent made up my mind as I was also single tabling the NL100 games successfully and know that I could get $10 an hour doing that.
Another problem that I have is that I want to at least be earning something while I am doing this. I dont want to do a Chris Ferguson and be taking 18 months to get from $0 to $10,000. I would achieve that if I really tried but the time expended would end up costing me a serious amount of money…….not worth it just to prove that I can turn zilch into 10k…..all I get is a few pat on the backs.
anyway…..see ya soon
