Everyone who knows me will tell you how I have been planning to go to the WSOP for nearly ten years now and for whatever reason, things always seem to get in the way. To be honest I am not overly bothered about going on a purely poker playing sense as I feel that it would probably be -EV for me.
However Las Vegas has come to England with the arrival of the WSOPE in London. After Annette Obrestad won the first ever WSOPE main event last year then I have been itching to get my arse the one hundred and fifty odd miles south for some time. The WSOPE is on again as we speak but the chances of me being there in some capacity next year are very high.
I think if I would have played this year then I would have played the 1.5k NLHE and the 10k main event. By next year, tournament poker will be much higher on my agenda and I cannot see myself not going and the big thing with London is that I can drive there.
But anyway, thats all for next year but I am so looking forward to playing poker tournaments and I am really excited about this. Also the preparations for the lowstakes challenge have started well but it doesnt start proper until the 1st October but tune in for regular results here.
One final crow…..won a huge $17,000 pot yesterday at 25-50 by hitting my concealed inside straight draw on the turn and I knew my opponent wouldnt take me for that hand given the context of the game. Sadly I dumped half of it back at PLO……played well just unlucky…..I hate that game.
