I Told You So……Again!

Anyone who read my blog last year about the new legislation in the United States will already be aware of what I am about to say. I heard numerous so called “expert” views that this would be the end of online poker but where are these people now?

All the major poker rooms that continued to take American customers have seen significant increases in player traffic. Even the sites that stopped taking US customers are almost back up to normal levels. Online poker is still growing rapidly, the new legislation in the States proved to be no more than a fly in the ointment.

Like I said before, the monster that is online poker is just too large now and the big boys are certainly not going to call time on a $12 Billion industry all because of some bill. The potential for growth in poker is still huge and the poker scene in Europe is exploding at the moment and also really starting to take off in Asia as well.

With certain countries taking steps to actually make online gaming legal, then the future for poker and online poker in particular is still very rosy indeed.
