Last night I had only the third ever occasion where I won five figures during a single session. Everything went right and I ended up ahead by $11,622 over two hours and forty five minutes. I have never had a session that good in ages. Nothing bad happened but the bad news is that despite being ahead by 28k this year, I am only getting 25% of that total……and…….it has been proven beyond statistical doubt that I am in fact running well…….VERY WELL!!!
So it is with a strong hint of trepidation that I report this result but I know full well that I could lose several buy-ins in the blink of an eye. But I have set myself a daily stop loss of two buy-ins anyway. I dont know what it is about five figure losses but they scare the hell out of me. So at 10k I call it a day whether the game is great or not. I just dont play well when I am losing money….its that simple.
But the best thing about it all is that I am keeping my backers happy which is the main thing because if it wasnt for them then I wouldnt be playing 25-50 and in fact, my confidence took such a hammering last year that I may now have been playing NL100 and NL200 for a living……gruesome.

Q. What do you consider to be the most important when it comes to making money online??
I am not quite sure what he meant by this but I will try my best anyway. I have always thought that with online poker you have to do one of two things. You either must get tracking software like Poker Office 5 or some other type of database to assist you in classifying players or you must strive to ensure that you are playing in such a way that tracking software fails to pick up your style.
I was a big stickler for constantly changing sites and I think that this is imperative if you dont use software. Despite this, you still need software of some sort to help you eliminate flaws in your game. But you can buy ready made databases now for something like a hundred bucks or less so you dont even have to datamine anymore. So my advice……keep one step ahead of the trackers or become one of them.
