With the recent slump in the UK property market I think the time may be right to invest in purchasing property and this is something that I will be looking to do more of in 2009. I have been having serious thoughts lately about releasing huge chunks if not all of my bankroll to do so.
This would basically wipe me out in terms of bankroll but that wouldnt concern me as I can always get money. If I were that desperate I could always play 1000 $20 SNG’s a month and generate $3000 a month or something along that nature. I can actually play lowstakes SNG’s better than I can play lowstakes cash games as my system of play is so engrained into my head that I could multi-table this and still do well.
But I aint hard up for three thousand bucks a month but that would be an option to build up my bankroll again. I still have the offer from my backer on the table and I may be actually taking him up on that sooner rather later. I have spent a fair chunk of time collecting data and talking to highstakes players this past six months so I have a pretty good idea of people who I need to be going after and I how I should go about doing that.
All I need is about a million dollars which is far greater than what my current bankroll is or ever has been. I use my own unique style of bankroll management which works for me within the context of how I work but there is no buying in for only a fixed percentage of your bankroll type stuff but it is horses for courses.
So there may be big changes ahead but its also nice to know that ones ability is appreciated when people like Stox Poker, 2+2 and Poker Swat value your ability. The number of offers that I get now has increased markedly but I think that this is kinda down to my massive online exposure these days.
I will be playing in the 250k guaranteed tournament this Sunday evening on Cake Poker and I have been running around collecting data on these tournaments like a madman this past few days. So expect an improved style of play from here on.
