Played for about 2 hours last night, played about an hour in the 25-50 and won $3700 and played two sessions of HU NLHE and won $390 and $288 making $4378 in total. Felt in total control throughout the session. Actually I forgot to mention, I played two more sessions of HUNLHE on Thursday and won one and lost one. I got called bluffing and lost $550 but I countered that with a $440 win soon after.
I had some fantastic data on one player and my Poker Office 5 software churned out some interesting feedback on this player. The number of hours that I am playing in the 25-50 game is getting less and less or at least it seems that way to me. I might just e-mail Tom Dwan or Phil Galfond and ask them how in hell they find value in 500-1000 games……actually I know how, more or less how you find it in 25-50 but there would be no way that I would touch those games without having a serious information network, a fantastic game and a great mindset. I would also change account names as well, before you tell me that this isnt ethical then if you think that players are not doing this then you are being a tad naive.
Although in the super highstakes games, the player pools are so small that new players get scrutinized at those levels like you dont believe and it isnt difficult to pin point a player and the grapevine usually knows anyway.
I have been doing some research on HU SNG’s recently, a form of poker that I have never played. I have also been doing some research on the high-stakes limit games. I havent played these for a while but they have gotton seriously tough now and I really dont think that I can be bothered to make the effort to be honest. I know that I have the game, but finding the value would be the problem and I hate sitting around waiting for players to show up…….much rather watch the racing or play golf now that the weather is warming up a bit…….speaking of which…….wheres those clubs??
