DESTINATION FINAL TABLE - A PHILOSOPHY ON TOURNAMENT POKER

With literally millions of pounds won and lost in poker tournaments both live and online every single day of the week, the clamour to play them has reached fever pitch. With the vast majority of televised poker being of the tournament variety then is it any wonder that some successful tournament poker players are achieving almost “pop star” status in the poker world.

More and more people are seeking education these days on various ways to get an edge in the game. The main avenues for education are books and websites. There is a lot of good material out there on tournament poker written by some of the finest players in the world.

So why should an e-book on tournament poker that is written by an online player who is essentially a cash game player be superior to what has already been written? This is a good question and one that deserves a good answer. I have read most of the material on poker tournaments and especially the books and a lot of it I simply do not agree with.

This is not to say that what I have read is wrong, it is just that I have my own views and opinions that I am staunchly passionate about. After many years as a poker player and gambler I am certain of one thing. This is that when too many people attempt to operate in the same way then everybody can end up on the losing side.

In gambling as in poker, in order to get an edge then you simply need to be playing differently to the masses. This is why I have written DESTINATION FINAL TABLE which is by no means the be all and end of all of tournament poker….but just my views and alternative opinions on how one should play in a big field multi-table poker tournament.

It is not a book that will teach you what to do in every single scenario, what possible book could ever do that and this e-book is only roughly 11,000 words in length. The book is simply my overall philosophy of how to play not just poker tournaments but poker in general as cash games and tournaments are more closely linked than many players realise.

I have written this book with the full intention of it being FREE to everyone who wishes to read it. It is my wish that every single person who reads this book and reads my thoughts on tournament poker will at the very least be confronted by material that is extremely thought provoking.

In some cases the book will cause seasoned tournament players to re-evaluate their tournament styles and in some cases to drop them altogether. This is really not my wish, if DESTINATION FINAL TABLE makes you think long and hard about poker tournaments and poker in general then it will have certainly served its purpose and you will be a better player because of reading it as I have become better as a result of writing it.
